Design a mesmerizing 3D environment in Blender that represents an abandoned spring sanctuary, where nature has reclaimed its dominion. This theme challenges participants to combine the beauty of spring with the allure of forgotten, weathered structures.
All entries must be the original work of the participant. Plagiarism, use of copyrighted material, or submissions containing third-party assets without proper credit will result in disqualification.
All submissions must be minimum 1920x1080 (Any orientation) in either JPEG or PNG format. (no larger than 10MB) Along with the final render, participants must also provide a wireframe screenshot and short description of their render
All 3D work must be done in Blender. Participants may use other software for texturing, sculpting, and other supporting tasks, but the final render must be created in Blender.
Participants should pay close attention to lighting and composition to create a visually striking and immersive environment that draws the viewer in.
The environment should have a sense of mystery and wonder, incorporating obscure, hidden, or secret elements that invite the viewer to explore and discover the world you've created.
Participants must include at least one abandoned structure or space in their design, demonstrating nature's reclamation.
The environment must clearly represent springtime, incorporating elements such as blooming flowers, lush greenery, and other signs of life and growth. Participants should focus on conveying the unique atmosphere and energy of the season.
Submissions must effectively showcase the spring season and incorporate obscure or hidden elements that contribute to the sense of a secret world.
The overall visual appeal, color palette, and atmosphere of the environment will be taken into account.
The quality of the modeling, texturing, lighting, and overall execution of the environment will be considered.
Judges will be looking for unique, inventive environments that capture the essence of a hidden spring haven in a new and imaginative way.

Need a helping hand getting some inspiration? We've curated some amazing assets for you to download from the button above. Best of all? They're 100% free and no addon is needed to use them!
Please see below on how to install this asset pack. This is not an 'addon' and is not installed via the addon installation method under the user preferences.
This pack should be first unzipped into a location that you wish to store the assets.
Once you have done this, go to the user prefs, "File Paths" and then click the + button next to the "Asset Libraries" window.
Then just point the file-explorer window to the ROOT folder of the pack you just unzipped.
Once you have installed it, save your user prefs.
Then from the main Blender window, change a workspace to the "Asset Browser".
Then where it says "current file" in the dropdown at the top left, select this and choose the Asset Library you just installed.

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the True-VFX Contest ("Contest") organized by True-VFX ("Organizer"). By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.2 The Organizer reserves the right to modify, amend, or cancel the Contest or these Terms at any time without prior notice. By continuing to participate in the Contest, you accept any changes to the Terms.
2.1 The Contest is open to legal residents worldwide, aged 16 years or older as of the date of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of the Organizer or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to participate.
2.2 The Organizer reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and disqualify any participant who does not meet the eligibility criteria.
3.1 The Contest begins on May 12th, 2023 at 12:00 AM GMT and ends on June 21st, 2023 at 11:59 PM GMT ("Contest Period"). Entries submitted outside the Contest Period will not be considered.
4.1 To enter the Contest, participants must submit their entries on the contest landing page by clicking the "submit Entry" button, which will direct them to a form to fill in.
4.2 Each participant may submit up to two entries. Multiple entries beyond the allowed limit will result in disqualification.
4.3 By submitting an entry, participants warrant that their submission is original, does not infringe on any third-party rights, and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
5.1 Winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by the Organizer based on pre-defined judging criteria.
5.2 The winners will be notified by email, phone, or any other means deemed appropriate by the Organizer within 21 days of the Contest end date, with the aim to notify within 14 days. The Organizer is not responsible for any delay or failure in the delivery of the notification.
5.3 If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within the specified time frame, the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
6.1 The prizes for the Contest are as follows:
1st Place:

6.2 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash equivalent. The Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the specified prize becomes unavailable.
6.3 Winners are responsible for any taxes or other fees associated with the receipt or use of the prizes.
6.4 Winners of the most recent previous contest are not eligible for first place prize of this contest to make it fair. They can be placed anywhere else however
7.1 The Organizer will provide certain assets ("Contest Assets") for use in the Contest. Contest Assets may only be used for the purpose of participating in the Contest and any non-commercial use during or after the Contest. Participants are strictly prohibited from using the Contest Assets for any commercial purposes, including but not limited to:
- Using the Contest Assets in any paid or revenue-generating projects, products, or services.
- Licensing, selling, or renting the Contest Assets to third parties for any commercial purpose.
- Using the Contest Assets for any form of advertising or promotion that generates revenue.
7.2 Participants who purchase the content pack from the Organizer's store page will be granted a license to use the Contest Assets for commercial purposes, subject to the following limitations:
- Participants may use the Contest Assets in their own commercial projects, products, or services, but they cannot resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Contest Assets to any third party for commercial purposes.
- Participants may not distribute or share the Contest Assets, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, including but not limited to file-sharing platforms, websites, or other distribution channels.
- Participants may not claim ownership or authorship of the Contest Assets or any derivative works created using the Contest Assets.
8.1 By submitting an entry, participants grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the submitted entry for promotional, marketing, or any other purpose, without any further compensation to the participant.
9.1 By participating in the Contest, participants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Organizer, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of or in connection with their participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
10.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Organizer's country of incorporation, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from the remainder of these Terms, which will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
12.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the participants and the Organizer with respect to the Contest and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, or communications, whether written or oral.
